Tio on Tour

Tio on Tour is a colorful playing book for children, which is suitable on a relatively long-term basis as a varied and welcome supplement to any piano method.

Initially fanning out step by step into the extended tonal range, it then proceeds more freely in the course of the book (from approx. page 6). As I have addressed quite a variety of needs, this collection covers a wide range of levels of difficulty. This is why it would be helpful to invent apposite technical and reading exercises for individual pieces.

Some pieces (e.g. Staccatino on page 16 or the tricky Scherzino on page 21) are ideally suited for memorization and are perfect for treating memorization as a topic to be practiced.

While the book does not require the use of the pedal, fingerings have not been omitted altogether; however, they can be worked out together during lessons. Now it’s your turn to go on tour with Tio!
