This joyous solo in C major is celebratory in nature. The allegro tempo and lyrical melody bring a certain abandon and sweeping feel to the piece. The B section features the sounds of bells represented open sixths and sixths and with an added second. The meter in this section changes from 3/4 to 2/4 and back again---perfectly depicting the ringing sound. Students will be captivated by the sound of this piece and therefore, will play it with conviction.
