The Countryside is of one of the most famous works by brilliant childrens composer Walter Carroll, the Beatrix Potter of learner piano music, whose use of music, poetry and art in his now classic albums have appealed to successive generations of children. As a result they are still widely used on exam syllabi and by teachers around the world nearly a century after they were written. This set of pieces is designed to follow on from the first book Scenes at a Farm, with a commensurate increase in difficulty. The inclusion of four duets provides for enjoyable interaction between pupil and teacher. Suggested grade 0-1.
