Sleighride
Catalogue No: BWP8705
Mozart arr John Humphries - 6 trumpets • 1 trombone and percussion (score and parts)
£18.95
By: Mozart arr John Humphries
Scored for 6 trumpets • bass trumpet/trombone • timpani and sleighbells
Needs a piccolo trumpet. Trumpet players can help the percussionists.
Mozart made a considerable amount of money by supplying orchestras with new dances to play at Viennese balls during the winter months. Among these was the delightful German Dance, K.605 no.3 in which sleighbells, posthorns and timpani depicted an enchanting sleighride scene and ensured its immediate success. This arrangement for trumpet ensemble retains as much of its original character as possible.
