Symphony No 3 — Trombone Solo
Catalogue No: BWP3113
Mahler arr Christopher Mowat - trombone TC/BC with piano reduction
By: Mahler arr Christopher Mowat
Extracted from the first movement this trombone solo has been built up from three separate passages spaced throughout the movement, together forming one of the finest pieces of trombone writing in the entire symphonic repertoire.
Treble and Bass Clef parts included.
“... This excellent piano reduction is perhaps the closest that you will get to the true Mahler 3 without an orchestra … excellent editorial notes and performance advise based on his (Christopher Mowat) experience as one of our finest trombonists. In addition, a list of translated German terms gives the performer a concise image of the sound and style that Mahler wanted...” Reviewed ‘The Trombonist’
