From Vivaldi to Fats Waller for Trombone
Catalogue No: BWP2109BC
arr Robert Ramskill - trombone bass clef and piano
By: arr Robert Ramskill
As the title suggests there is a wide range of styles represented in the eight pieces making up the album – one piece in each of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic styles, and from the twentieth century a film theme tune, a piece of 1930s jazz and Fever from the 1950s (which requires the pianist to be able to click his fingers as well as play the right notes!) The album is completed by a short original piece Thin Ice.
... Big Country • Winter - Vivaldi • Humoreske - Tchaikovsky • Papageno’s Song - Mozart • Your Feet’s Too Big - Fats Waller • Fever • Thin Ice • Ballad
“. . . low brass gets a book that the less heavy instruments will be envious of . . . some fantastic music for trombone and euphonium.”
