arr John Iveson - ten brass (score and parts)
By: arr John Iveson
This is a collection of arrangements for ten brass of three titles taken from John Ivesons Solo collections: \"A Little Light Music\" and \"On The Sunny Side of the Street\".
Scored for conventional brass tentet with optional percussion, the arrangements are aimed at school-level groups, providing plenty of scope and interest for the less expert, as well as the more advanced players. Ideal for those end-of-term concerts.
... Im Getting Married in the Morning • A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square • On the Sunny Side of the Street
\"...Magic in the Air comprises arrangements by John Iveson of three popular standards from the 1940s and 1950s. Iveson exploits the versatility of the ten-piece brass group with arrangements that capture the popular instrumental styles of the era. Im Getting Married in the Morning retains the crisp rhythmic drive of its original rendition in My Fair Lady. A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square receives an evocative rendition full of lush harmony and colourful ensemble writing, and the set is rounded off with a swinging account of On the Sunny Side of the Street, which, with the addition of drums, allows the ensemble to slip into big-band mode.\"
