This model was recently added to the range as a next step up from an E11 but at a level just below the E13. The Buffet E12 benefits from improved manufacturing processes over the E11, and still retains the wonderful Buffet tone that is so popular. Developed through industrial cooperation between the Research & Development arm and the Production facilities based in France and Germany, the E12F is derived from professional models and made in Buffet Crampon’s French workshops; the key assembly and quality control are carried out by Buffet's German teams in Markneukirchen.

As a package, the Buffet E12 clarinet is fantastic. Buffet has thought carefully before producing this latest model in the advanced student range. As in professional models, the new B12F has screwed pillars and blue steel springs helping to give a firm and accurate feel to the action. Particularly welcome is the use of leather pads instead of skin as they are more durable saving long term replacement costs with better sealing qualities.

 The whole package of the newly designed instrument is completed with a backpack carrying case. The case has been ergonomically designed and includes extra side pockets for music and accessories. For young students the protection and convenience afforded by a backpack case is now essential as travelling on public transport carrying a handheld case can be difficult and young people have more books than ever to carry, not to mention sports kit, etc.
