Moeck Rottenburgh 4204 Descant Recorder
Catalogue No: iwMOE-4204
An excellent professional standard descant recorder with a boxwood body, three piece construction, double holes and baroque fingering.
What they say
Immensely popular range of recorders originally designed by Friederich von Huene after models by Belgian maker Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph Rottenburgh (1672-1756). Versatile, reliable and used by all levels of players who enjoy instruments made to consistently high standards, they are without doubt the world's most successful recorder series and remain one of our best sellers. The Rottenburgh is the instrument of choice for those recorder players who wish to play music at an advanced level. It is a reliable instrument with a carrying tone, whether played in small or large ensembles. It also lends itself perfectly for solo pieces, e.g. for sonatas with basso continuo. The Rottenburgh is the ideal all rounder: reliable, balanced and with a full tone.
The 4204 decant is made from boxwood which has an even grain and densityto give a clear round sound. This Rottenburgh recorder also comes with a free Moeck maintenance set (recorder oil, oil brush, anti-condensant, paintbrush, maintenance manual).
