Whilst Eastman command a great deal of respect for theit guitars that take direct inspiration from classic Gibson designs, it's undeniably more exiting to see them step out from behind their influences and try something completely different. THe Romeo is in practical terms pretty similar to the T185, a 15" 335 style guitar with solid carved top and back and a small centerblock under the bridge and tailpiece area. it's incredibly light, and very responsive tonally. The 1 3/4" nut width is nice and roomy and the small body is very comfortable to sit with if you find 335 style guitars a bit on the big side. The Romeo is a seriously classy alternative to the myriad 335 types on the market.
