Much though we love a nice vintage Gibson or Fender, one of the most endearing guitars of the 60s was surely the humble Danelectro. Made from the late 50s to mid 60s, the family of models nicknamed the Shorthorns was popularlised by Jimmy Page who adopted a black Shorthorn for DADGAD duties - so if Kashmir is the first thing you play on it you're forgiven! The 'NOS' model borrows from Page's guitar a Badass style wraparound bridge, added by Page to improve the intonation of his original, and the 'NOS' designation refers to the pickups which were leftover stock from the original run of Korean reissues in the 1990s. They're good sounding pickups indeed. A great guitar with bags of character, if you're looking for something gig friendly on a reasonably small budget a Dano is a great bet.
Danelectro’s flagship guitar, played by top artists around the globe, now with NOS Lipstick® pickups made in 1999. Delicious highs and mids!
