This lovely looking guitar is a limited run model with the unusual for Martin choice of black walnut for the back and sides. We were blown away before we picked it up by the gorgeous smokey sunburst - Martin aren't really known for their sunbursts but they can certainly do a good one when they put their minds to it - but it's a very good sounding guitar as well, trading a little of the ring of a rosewood model for a slguhtly sharper and punchier attack. We love seeing these variations on traditional designs - they always retain that overall Martin character but the unusual woods give a new flavour which is really refreshing.

This Auditorium model is crafted with black walnut back and sides for well-balanced tone that bridges the gap between rosewood and mahogany. It includes a Sitka spruce gloss top for balanced tone and projection and a high-performance neck taper for ease of playability up and down the fretboard. This model features an FSC^® Certified Richlite^® fingerboard and bridge and comes equipped with Fishman^® Matrix VT Enhance electronics and a soft-shell case for ease of travel. This model is limited to 125 instruments. Strung with Authentic Acoustic Lifespan^® 2.0 light gauge strings.
