The Violet series of Furch represent an entry level for the Czech brand and, whilst we're big fans of Furch at all price points, it's particularly impressive that they can offer a European handmade guitar at this price point. Keeping the cost down is a laminated back where most Furch models are solid -it's also unbraced and pressed into an arch which is a really smart move for laminated guitars, making for a lightweight and resonant back that's also extremely strong. Elsewhere you get a nicely grained solid top and a fingerstyle friendly 45mm nut width neck with a comfortable shallow C profile. They sound lovely with a dry, crisp tone.
The Furch Violet Master’s Choice model is a high-quality instrument with the Dreadnought shape. The guitar relies on the acoustic qualities of a solid spruce soundboard. The back and sides are made from layered mahogany. The back is arched and requires no bracing, which has a favorable effect on the instrument’s acoustic qualities. The tonewood combination and the Furch Open-Pore Finish lend Furch Violet Master’s Choice guitar a stylish natural appearance and a strong, balanced sound with ringing highs.
The Furch Violet Master’s Choice model is fitted with the LR Baggs Stagepro Element system, which features a side-mounted preamp with a tuner.
The premium nature of Furch Violet Master’s Choice guitar is underscored by the fact that the soundboard is individually tuned using our proprietary voicing process that enhances the instrument’stonal properties to the highest level. Thanks to that, Furch Violet Master’s Choice guitar has a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound across the entire tonal spectrum.
The instrument features Open-Pore Finish, a special thin finish that promotes the natural sonic qualities of tonewoods and provides an excellent level of surface protection. The finish accentuates low frequencies and produces a natural woody sound.
A high precision dual-action truss rod maintains neck stability and allows fine adjustments of the neck relief in both directions. The truss rod is installed in a carbon casing filled with silicone to prevent undesirable vibrations and to ensure smooth action.
Furch Violet Master’s Choice guitar is protected by a black pickguard, which has been redesigned by the addition of a transparent extension toward the soundhole. This pickguard shape provides better soundboard protection without disrupting the rosette pattern.
