Inspiration can strike at any time in any place, that’s why having a travel guitar by your side is necessary for beginners to virtuosos. The smaller body and scale allow for a portable instrument that always lends itself to easy travel.
Of all the travel guitars in all the world, we happen to come across this guy. Quite honestly, the guitar is fantastic. As we've come to expect from Eastman, the craftsmanship is top rate - the guys in Beijing really know what they're doing, and having a handmade solid wood travel guitar for the £500 mark is great. Ovangkol is a really soft sounding wood, which responds really nicely to both fingerpicking and strumming. The solid sitka spruce top is what you expect from solid sitka spruce - it's bright, it's punchy - it's what's required when it comes to a small guitar trying to keep up with the big boys, and boy does it deliver. Fishman electronics make this an ideal travel guitar for those who are ready and willing to hit up the local open mic scene when away from home. The size of it also makes for one of those perfect lounge guitars. Not only does it compete with other travel guitars, it's one of the best we've seen without spending a good couple of grand. A must have.
