A nylon strung crossover guitar with a 45mm nut width and 12th fret join, featuring a solid cedar top with mahogany back and sides and the Brad Clark pickup system.
An interesting new development for York, Auden's workshop where the bodies and necks are assembled in China are also very experienced classical makers, and the York is a crossover guitar that combines nylon strings with a more acoustic friendly 45mm nut width. Based on the Julia steel string, the 12 fret body will feel very familiar to classical players and the neck feels roomy without being as much of a shock to the system as a full sized (50mm or so) classical, so it's ideal for acoustic players wanting to sample the sound of nylon strings. We really impressed with how resonant it is and there's certainly no compromise in terms of sound.
The York also features the Brad Clark pickup system which is about as good as it gets for plugged in acoustic sounds.
The open pore satin finish using minimal lacquer allows this guitar to sing and reverberate with a sound that’s much larger than its small body. A great songwriter’s guitar.
