The signature model for Budge Magraw of The Cesarians. A deep 5” (12.cm) body with an arched spruce top and maple back and sides in hi-gloss black. This is one of a small batch of ex-Frankfurt guitar show Hofners that we're selling as new with full warranty but have small marks on them hence the special prices - we've tried to show any marks as best...
This guy has a massive sound, and the beauty of the vintage push pull switch is that if you want that classic bright Rickenbacker sound from the 60s, it's there - and if you want a more modern deeper tone, it's there too. Also it's in black, which goes with everything and is very slimming.
Talk about a fat sounding bass - this hunk of meat sure sounds fantastic. Very comfy to play with the satin neck, a choice of either the modern sound or vintage sound from a push-pull switch, and the classic look of fireglo. Massive.
This bass is just a bit extra. A super fast satin neck, lovely rolled edges on the fingerboard, the HiMass bridge for extra sustain and resonance and of course the active Jazz pickups for when you need to get to 11. The aged CAR is great too, and the bass comes with a deluxe Fender gig bag.
If you want a bass that pops, get this guy. The pickups are revoiced to sound like the original 60s style single coils, so you get that classic tone. The super comfy mid 60s C profile neck has a satin finish for ease of playability, and to add to the classic vibe, the fingerboard has vintage style frets. Classic.
This bass sounds great. It obviously looks great, and you'd need to come in (unless you trust me on this) but honestly, the tone is cracking. It's got a great low end, it sparkles, the mids are fantastic. It's just bloody brilliant.
Why this bass isn't another £300 more expensive is beyond us. Bartolini pickups, a Markbass preamp, that amazing ozangkol, mahogany and maple triple threat. Stunning.
If J Mascis ever had a signature bass... this would be it. The anodised pickguard with the white blonde body just looks incredible. And Classic Vibes sound as Classic Vibes look - pretty bloody good, and not far off from the standard of a Mexican Fender (although that's a discussion for an internet forum I imagine). A quality P Bass nonetheless, with...
With a gorgeous flame maple cap and hi spec Markbass preamp the Cort Action DLX is a stunning instrument both in look and sound. Amazingly affordable to boot, it's a great choice for a versatile studio bass or a cool live instrument.
An active bass with 24 frets with two jazz bass style pickups, and features 2 bands EQ.
Want that classic Fender Jazz Bass tone without splashing the cash? Get on board with the Affinity series from Squier. Squier have really impressed us with the latest batch of both the Affinity series and the Classic Vibe series, and this guy plays and sounds fantastic.
Excellent short scale bass for a younger player or the vertically challenged. With a poplar body, Canadian hard maple neck and a Powersound PSDXH1-4 pickup.
