An icon of the Punk era and a mainstay of British guitar making, Gordon Smith guitars were the brainchild of Manchester guitar makers John Smith and Gordon Whittam and for over 30 years were built down the road from Forsyths in Partington. In 2015 John announced his intention to hang up his tools and head for sunnier climates, and the company was aquired by Auden Guitars.
