We always keep a good stock of electric guitars here at Forsyths including probably the best selection of new Rickenbacker electric guitars on show in the country. We are also the sole distributor for Gordon Smith guitars in the North West, which is good as they are practically made in our back yard. To view the entire range of a particular brand, please choose from the menu on the left. The following are some that we've picked out for your delectation.
A faithful reproduction of the original Rickenbacker 360 12-string. The 2nd one ever made was presented to George Harrison in 1963 and immortalized in 'A Hard Day's Night'. It sounds fantastic, it (obviously) looks great, and the feel and playability do the job nicely. One other thing - even unplugged this thing sounds amazing, obviously not what it was...
A modern update of the model 325 - made famous by a certain John Lennon. This has all the looks and style of the original but with a hardtail and full scale length removes the annoying quirks of the 325. This is the first time this model has been available in the UK in fireglo!
Made in China in the early 2000s, this all solid wood guitar has a floating Kent Armstrong pickup and comes with the original hard case.
Handmade in Bavaria, this environmentally sound model has almost no plastic parts. A maple and walnut construction, the guitar comes with a Winter hard case.
The classic Rickenbacker, the 330, has been the guitar of choice for Lennon, Harrison, Townshend, Petty, REM's Peter Buck, Johnny Marr and the Fugazi great Guy Picciotto. This time they've even changed something - the fretboard is no longer gloss! Does that make the guitar better? It makes it worthwhile in the history of Rickenbacker at least, and is...
Here's a bit of luxury from Eastman. With two Bare Knuckle BC Old Guard custom humbuckers, a solid maple top and solid mahogany back and sides, flamed maple binding all over and that quality Eastman handmade design, this guitar really is a looker.
A fantastic Otto D'Ambrosio signature design of this incredibly light Eastman. Not only is it a looker, it also sounds fantastic with Kent Armstrong HPAG-1G pickups. Comes with a hardcase.
When you look at this guitar you just think "ok, it's a Strat copy, what's the big deal?" It's handmade, for one. The pickups have an insane dynamic range to cover pretty much the whole guitar spectrum. The relicing is subtle and not overdone, and it's safe to say you could compete against an American Fender quite easily with this guy.
A single cut Les Paul Standard clone, made in the Czech republic with hand wound Cross Point humbuckers. Comes with a hardcase - the hard rocking is down to you.
The thing about Gordon Smith is that we can ask for whatever we want in the shop, and pretty much of the time they can do it for us. In this case we've got a semi-solid tele style guitar in swamp ash, with a AAA flamed maple neck and fingerboard, a lovely pomelle veneer and a bind on the top of the body. The result: a very lively tele which plays...
With two firey Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers, this SB59 is a powerful piece of wood. Featuring a solid flame maple top and 1 piece mahogany back and sides - and the new Redburst finish looks dreamy! For proper rockers.
More guitars should be pink. We've recently had a few Gordon Smiths drop with us, and the AAA flame maple neck and fingerboard combo is probably one of our favourite options when it comes to this fantastic brand. It's just a really nice stratocaster, according to my boss. Me too, actually.
This hadmade in the UK guitar has a one piece mahogany body with a maple cap and mahogany neck. Features a 44mm nut width, rosewood fretboard and comes with a hardcase.
Black on black is the best colour combination - it goes with everything and it's very slimming! But seriously, the Maybach guitars have been a revelation since they arrived in the shop. This guy in particular, with a super warm Amber P90 and a mega comfy mahogany neck plays great - and who needs more than 1 pickup? No one, you're just complicating matters.
Eastman's signature models are always on a different level, and the AR380CE by John Pisano is no different. With two fantastic Kent Armstrong Pisano humbuckers the guitar sounds brilliant. The look of the thing just speaks for itself, from the frog inlay on the tailpiece to the stunning honeyburst finish and the headstock which looks like a piece of...
Loaded with Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P-90s, this epic guitar has it's own look and style which is so refreshing to play and hear. The Celestine Blue finish is stunning, the Göldo 3-Point Vario moving bridge with the Göldo Les Trem looks incredible and the Gold Foil Radiator covers on the pickups just finish it off. Bloody marvellous.

Solid black bound Korina body Maple neck and fingerboard 2 GSG single coil pickups Handmade in the UK Comes with custom gig bag
That neck, eh? What a stunner. Plays just as good as a real quality American Tele and looks so damn cool. With AAA flame maple neck and fingerboard to make it really stand out, and with the Gordon Smith single coil pickups, you're really onto a winner.
The Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster is one of the most sought after signature Fenders on the market, and rightly so. With Pure Vintage '65 Jazzmaster pickups and that oh-so-alluring Copper Age finish, this guitar both looks and sounds the part.
A beautiful handmade one piece mahogany guitar with a wrap around tailpiece and an ebony fingerboard. The handmade American Lollar 50's Spec Dog Ear P-90 has a fantastic wide warm tone, and this guitar also comes with a hardcase.
A handmade monster from Eastman. A one piece mahogany guitar, a wraparound tailpiece, ebony fingerboard and a handmade Lollar P90 pickup. So damn good.
A stunning piece of kit from Eastman, handmade with deluxe flamed maple laminate. The guitar features a Seymour Duncan Jazz neck pickup and a Seymour Duncan '59 pickup on the bridge. With a traditional even C neck profile, a 1 3/4" bone nut and a hardcase as standard, this guitar is ready for the studio, the stage or even your living room.
An SG body style with a GSG P90 pickup. A stunning Korina body, Gotoh bridge and chrome hardware makes this guitar both sound and look the part. It's just so hard rocking...
A great Japanese Fender with a high quality 3 ply alder body, a new heel cut design and a fingerboard make from selected rosewood. The real MVP on this guitar however are the 3 4th Generation Noiseless pickups. Modern, fresh and Fender.
