A wonderful interpretation of one of the Gibson corporations most underappreciated incarnations of the Les Paul Custom model!
Famous for it's use with players as varied as Robby Krieger (of The Doors, with his own signature reissue), to Franny Beecher of Bill Haley and His Comets, these all Mahogany bodied Les Paul Customs are a fantastic and diverse mount for P90 pickups, akin to a LP Special with all the trimmings! With the denser Ebony board providing plenty in the way of cut and clarity by comparison to the Special.
The only main difference from the original incarnation would be the famous 'Staple Pole' P90 in the neck position, however, the stock neck P90 certainly provides a much more tonally diverse sonic profile!
A favourite of mine with this instrument would be the slimmer '60's neck profile which provides with a neck that practically plays itself!
