Retail Accounts Clerk

Forsyths requires an enthusiastic, reliable and trustworthy person to join its accounts team. The position is part time (about 25 hours per week) and would allow for flexible working hours, but will include fulltime working on alternate Saturdays and on a rota system for Sundays. There is potential to build to a fulltime role.

Duties include:
· Daily cashing up
· till floats
· Reconciling receipts
· Assisting both purchase and sales ledger staff
· Maintaining stationary stocks
· Assisting in answering the switchboard
· Taking messages and helping with bookings/orders for piano tuning and music publishing departments

The applicant should have
· Good numeracy skills
· Computer literacy (including the ability to use Excel)
· A good clear telephone manner
· Good education to at least A level standard

The applicant would ideally have
· Experience in an accounts office
· Experience of using the Exchequer Accounting Software System
· An interest in music / musical instruments

Candidate ideally in post by End of May 2013

Piano Tuner (on the road)

Forsyths requires an additional experienced piano tuner to help cover our tuning rounds in the Manchester region and beyond.

Blind, Partially sighted and sighted tuners are welcome to apply. Sighted tuners must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. We would help registered blind/partially sighted tuners gain Access to Work support from the DWP for a support worker/driver. Full time or part time would be considered. Technical proficiency in addition to a high standard of tuning ability is preferred.

This is a permanent position with 28 days paid holiday for full time.
Full office/administrative support given - i.e. all bookings and invoicing are handled by the Forsyth’s administrative team.
Ongoing training and technical support given.
