Zubiaurre - Audition Piece for Trumpet

This piece was likely to have been an audition set piece for final examination at the Madrid Conservatoire. The Andante is designed to show off the performers ability to play a slow melody and the Allegretto demands flamboyance.
The whole piece has a light Spanish feel, in the manner of Bizets Carmen, which dates from the same period.
