This gorgeous classical concerto is a wonderful example of Giovanni Viottis compositional style. Viotti, an Italian virtuoso violinist, was a prolific composer (he wrote 29 violin concerti, of which this is the most famous) who gained popularity in the court of Marie Antoinette and fled to England after the French Revolution. He had tremendous influence on the succeeding generation of composers, and is an immediate predecessor to the Romantic Era. A beautiful work for any classical violinist. Now digitally remastered, this classic MMO edition also includes a second disc containing a 20%-slower practice-tempo accompaniment!
Contains a printed score and a compact disc featuring the concerto in digitally remastered stereo, then again minus the solo violin part: and a second compact disc containing the complete version followed by a -20% slow-tempo version for practice purposes. Both versions feature fully indexed practice sections and orchestra entrances for easy learning and performance.
