Known in some circles as The Jewish Elvis, Neil Diamond is one of pop musics most successful and enduring songwriters. He has sold over 115 million albums worldwide, and though he hasnt had a hit since the 1980s, he continues to enjoy a large, devoted fanbase and sold-out shows throughout the world. In 1993 he released Up On The Roof: Songs From The Brill Building, a collection of Tin Pan Alley covers that was also a nod to the singers roots in the legendary NYC songwriters buidling.
