Forsyths has an excellent selection of Yamaha upright pianos, all prepared to the highest standard.  Yamaha is one of the biggest and most recognisable mainstream piano makers and produces a comprehensive range of different upright models, divided into various series.

• The entry-level B-series instruments are made in Indonesia and offer Yamaha durability at affordable prices.  These make good pianos for beginners.

• The P-series is a considerable step up in quality.  Like the B-series they are made in Indonesia but utilise better quality grand piano-grade premium spruce soundboards and produce a wider range of dynamics and colour.

• The ever-popular U-series pianos are built in Japan and represent the culmination of over 40 years of continuous development. All elements of the instrument are improved over the P-series including more sophisticated strengthening of the soundboard and, on the U3S, Yamaha’s patented Floating Support system which results in improved bass and mid-range performance.

• The YUS-series models enhance the U-series designs with concert grand piano hammer felts, higher quality strings from the premium SU7 model and greater attention to detail in the finishing process.

• Finally, the hand built SU7 model brings together everything Yamaha know about upright pianos and represents their entry into the luxury market.
