Danelectro Electric Guitars
Another range of classic vintage electric reissues for your guitar playing delight. The Danelectros of the 50s and 60s were intended to be cheap and cheerful beginners instruments, but have found their way into the hands for players as notable as the great Jimmie Page, and have become desirable classics.
The new crop of Danos is of Chinese origin, but retains the Cadillac retro charm of the originals. The current range comprises the Pro (a twin pickup version of an original Dano catalogue model). ‘59 (the so-called Shorthorn, as favoured by Page and also available in a sexy 12 string version), ‘63 (based on the “amp-in-case” Silvertone branded model), ‘67 (originally the Coral Hornet, complete with funky vibrato), and Longhorn bass (based on the, er, Longhorn bass).
At these prices they make a great fun guitar, or budget for a pair of Seymour Duncan Lipsticks and some pro quality tuners (hey, buy them all from us and we’ll fret dress it and set it up for free) and make yourself a killer guitar that will stand out on any stage.
