Gibson ES-335 2006
The classic Gibson thin-line in sumptuous cherry. The wooden bits
are absolutely immaculate – we can’t find a mark on it. The
hardware is suffering from the common problem of Gibson’s nickel
plating dissolving when it comes into contact with human sweat, but
it doesn’t look too bad and the nicest flamed Maple we’ve seen
on a 335 for a fair while more than makes up for it.
Includes the original hard case, also in immaculate
condition.

2003 Gibson
Les Paul Standard
Ok,
we don’t really need to bore you with the details on this
one. It’s a cherry sunburst Les Paul, the recent reissue
with correct binding and ‘Burstbucker pickups, 60's neck
profile and a lovely flame on the top. Very tidy condition,
looks almost new from the front save for a bit of corrosion on
the nickel plating. Remember to wipe your guitar down when you
finish playing! A few belt-buckle marks on the rear but
nothing unusual.
Includes original hard case.

1953 Gibson ES125
Gibson's
entry level jazz box throughout the 40s to the 50s and, if
you're after the full, mellow tone of a 50s Gibson jazz
guitar, can live without a cutaway and don't have the
requisite £5000 plus for an early 50s ES-175, this is going
to be the one to look for. The acoustic tone is sweet and
lively, if a little quiet in comparison to a carved top
guitar.
The
guitar has suffered a (long since reglued) loose treble side
brace, resulting in a small amount of table sinkage. It's not
particularly noticeable, and there's no risk of it getting any
worse. It also looks as though a previous owner has learned
the hard way that it's a good idea to loop the end of your
lead through your strap to avoid any disasters when you step
on the lead mid solo - the jack input is mounted into an
oversized plate that hides a missing piece of mahogany where
the jack was originally mounted. Other than that, the usual
Gibson laquor checking and a set of decent replacement tuners,
condition is good and it's set to go many more years into the
future. SOLD
